Me-ow!

Okay, so it's a little late for Halloween... but I finally finished my Kitty Kat Petite Doll collage. I made the background dark so the girl and the moon would stand out and really pop. I wasn't sure if having just the tree on the left made that side too plain... so I was debating whether or not to add an owl on the bottom branch.

It's really interesting to see the difference between this piece and the first doll I created in the Suzi Blu style. I actually drew that one in 5 minutes because I just couldn't wait to get started with all the techniques I had learned! I do love these "dolls" because it's the first technique in a long time where I feel like my style is coming through. I really am finding myself... and getting my creative confidence back! Me-ow!

Full Moon Fever...

Full moon tonight. I love a full moon. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the "half," the "quarter," or the "crescent". . . but there's just something about a full moon... Howwwwwwwwl!

Cool Full Moon

I was sitting on my couch at dusk and something told me to look out the window... and what a really cool full moon I saw!

Full Moon Fever...

So while we're on the subject of full moons... here's a piece I've been working on using the Claudine Hellmuth Studio line of products and Perfect Pearls. I'm not sure what it is going to become yet... as it is typical of my style to know the first 3 or 4 steps and then let it evolve organically.

Pick-A-Photo Tuesday: Full Moon

In honor of our full moon tonight, I chose this photo I took of last month's full moon... with my digital camera and no tripod! Pretty eeerie!
