Wish You Were Here...

You know, I have to say that when I am not in my home town of Ocean Grove... I am right next door in Asbury Park. There's just always so much to do! If you want a fancy dinner, some casual fare, an art gallery exhibition, cool clothes, mod accessories, a great band, unique gifts, antiques and collectibles, yummy candy, a first-rate theater production, cool architecture, special events, retro arcades, miniature golf, dance classes, yoga or fabulous fireworks displays... you'll find it in Asbury. My favorite spots to hang are on Cookman Avenue and down at the boardwalk. There you'll find everything I mentioned and so much more. Won't you come visit?

Pick-A-Photo Tuesday (ok, Wednesday!): Asbury Carousel Building

This photo is of the roof on the Carousel building in Asbury Park that I used to visit as a child. It used to be part of the Palace Amusements... since closed down and replaced with condos. However, Asbury is saving the Carousel building and is actually in the process of refurbishing it right now. And in the interim, they are using the building as an open air venue for plays and exhibits.

Up And Down... Round And Round...

Some days are like a carousel ride... up and down, round and round, up and down, round and round... in a big circle. The same stuff with the same view and lots of highs and lows. But eventually the ride stops and you can get off. Or perhaps you'll get more tickets, get back in line, and ride it all over again? The choice is yours. Or should I say... mine! I'll be right back... I'm going to the ticket booth...
