Prints Now Available...

Well, I finally photographed a bunch of my original whimsically weird art and had prints made, which are now available in a special section of my Etsy Shop! Seeing them all together was quite exciting and I plan to be painting more and more as the Fall season turns to Winter. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them. Back from vacation and fell a bit under the weather this week. But... the days are warming... the trees are blooming... and the sun is starting to shine more often than not. It's the perfect time to get my house in order before Summer begins. I've been organizing all my art supplies for the past few months and I'm almost there.

My trouble is that I have so many different areas of interest... it's hard to organize ALL the supplies... so they are ALL easily accessible... ALL the time! I love acrylic paint, collage, assemblage, jewelry, soft dolls and paper clay dolls... sheesh! And I never know what mood I'll be in.

I'd love some helpful tips... share 'em if ya got 'em!

Little Pink House No. 3

I got tired of working with all those square shapes! And so one night, I said... "hey, a house!" I had the perfect piece of cardboard for it too. I embellished it with some vintage children's book pages for the roof and door... then I painted with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Acrylics... Cut out a window... sanded the finish... and added some dimensional objects for interest. I found the phrase, "Who are you?" and thought it was perfect for this point in my life. The vintage photo of the baby seemed to be looking into my soul, so that one fit the bill... I finished up with some charcoal around the edges of the entire piece. Hey, this is fun!
